Stretch and Strength

For gymnasts, dancers, skaters, athletes:

Strength and Flexibility are often a key to improvement,
and they are the best thing you can do to avoid injury!

Rhythmic Gymnasts are known for superior knowledge and expertise with both stretching and strength work -
we want to share our secrets and experience with you!

Program runs October to May (8 months)
Cost: $75 +hst/month OR $350 +hst for the full 8 mo. session

Mondays 6:30pm-7:30pm

A few class goals:

-increase core strength.

Why? Because all those tiny muscles will help tremendously with centre for turns and balances. 

-create exercises that can be practiced at home.
How? Each participant will have a duotang where they can write down all the exercises we do for easy reference.

 

-focus on typically injury-susceptible areas for dancers/athletes.

Where? Backs and knees, baby, backs and knees. 

 

-work on jumping ability. 

 

-make conditioning enjoyable and effective (of course!)

 

-increase overall flexibility, especially hips and hamstrings because if you haven't got those, you've got yourself an injury waiting to happen!
